Zlob.DNSChanger.Rtk is gone though! success.. Lol now, Should i do the same thing (running smitfraudfix) again to see if it removes it Smitfraud-C??

    Hi OneWeak!
    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    LOL That's pretty funny. lol

    Okay, please do the following:

Download HostsXpert and then follow the below steps.
    • Unzip HostsXpert.zip
    • It will create a folder named HostsXpert in whatever folder you extract it to.
    • Run HostsXpert.exe by double clicking on it.
    • click the Make Writeable? button.
    • click Restore Microsoft's Hosts File and then click OK.
    • Click the X to exit the program

After you finish the above I want you to go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and do all those steps which you haven't done. You don't have to run Spybot again. When you finish, please attach the SuperAntiSpyware, Combofix and MGTools logs to your next post.

    Thanks.

Lol no hehe .. You missunderstood my spelling (i suck) but i meant 'Voala! nothing!(as in nothing anymore), it seems to be clean now' :p I dont seem to have any issues anymore.. Except..this OpenDNS stuff which is like a search engine but im not sure if it malignant?.. Would you still recommend me to do the HostsXpert stuff?

And one more thing.. I dont think i have "SuperAntiSpyware, Combofix and MGTools" stuff

    Hi One Weak!
Yes, I misunderstood you. That's why I found it so funny. lol
I'm glad things are working better. The SuperAntiSpyware, Combofix and MGTools" stuff is what you get if you work through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST procedures. These logs allow us to tell you if there's any malware on your system and if there are files which need to be removed. If you want us to check your computer, you need to go through those procedures and attach the requested logs. I leave that up to you.

As for the HostsXpert, I advise you to go ahead and run this. The SmitFraudFix showed that you need to run this.

Aah yes about the "SuperAntiSpyware, Combofix and MGTools".. I did go through the 'READ AND RUN ME FIRST'.. But i ended up clicking on the link 'Special Removal Procedures'.. and i used the instructions to one of those when i saw smitfraud was in the list. Could that be why i dont have any of the other logs? or.. Do i need to go through the rest of the manual cleanings?

    Hi OneWeak!
It's up to you. If the SmitFraudFix fixed the problem, then it's gone. Going through the other procedures or simply posting us the MGlogs would allow us to see if there are any other problems that aren't related to SmitFraud and which may not show up so easily. Sometimes there is only one infection. Often times infections are several that come together. I leave it up to you. If you want to wait and see how things go, that's fine.
    :)
