malware - running panda

    Currently running Panda activescan (2 hours+) is it normal to run this long and have >5million files checked? - single machine;XP home; 150gig HD -> 45% free; have followed the steps but do I set it and run away?

    The bar looks as tho' it's nearly finished - how long should it take?

    It can take a while to scan, depending on how many files you have and by the looks of what you said you have a few, so now its later in the day, has the scan finished? if its locking up and taking too long move onto the next scan.

    gave up;went to bed;got up and set it running; went to work; back home - supposedly now checking D:drive (cd drive(vacant) ) supposedly 9 probs - cookies (hmm). gave up.
