The Microsoft Programmes do not open in this Desktop Computer.

I ran READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide Procedure, to check whether there were any threats.

The logs are attached herewith.

The following message appeared when a Microsoft Word document was opened:

"Microsoft Word has stopped working

A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available."

The following message appeared when a Microsoft Power Point Presentation was opened:

"Microsoft Power Point has stopped working

A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available."

The following message appeared when a Microsoft Excel was opened:

"Microsoft Excel has stopped working

A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available."

The following e-mail was received from Sophos Antivirus:

"Sophos Home

Attack Intercepted.

'Microsoft Excel 10' has been terminated to prevent execution of malicious code. Please check your computer for malware and software updates."

Instead of the Microsoft Excel 2002 which I installed, Microsoft Excel 2012 had been installed by some one.
All the Microsoft Programmes were upgraded to 2007 version and the problems were resolved.

On running the weekly Malware Scans, no malware was detected as you said.
