Malware Still....

    Have an HP 3800+ w/AMD 64x2 processors; Vista Home Premium. Kids downloaded crap via Facebook; over 2-3 days, machine slowed down, redirected browser, wouldn't load some programs sometimes; eventually wouldn't/couldn't find internet shortcut, completely froze up. Use AVG 8, Windows Defender daily; they would find trojans, quarantined or deleted them; problems continued; ran Advanced SystemCare 3; it also found trojans and malware, supposedly removed; Spybot wouldn't load up, couldn't download updates; ran FixBlast, it also found malware, supposedly removed.

    Used laptop to try your READ and RUN sequences; both Super AntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ran and found "stuff", but I can't find logs(not in program files, downloads, or on desktop; no C:/)?? Tried to run MGtools, never saw a "completed" message. Machine is still slow...sometimes can't find internet shortcut; if I reboot, then it works.

    Thanks for any help/suggestions you can give me...

    Doubt it. Blaster is a very old problem and does not exist in Vista systems.

    They are in that Application Data folder for the user account that is running them. For example, like below where UserName is the actual user account name:

    C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware\Logs
    C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

    Did you follow the instructions exactly as requested for running with Vista? Did you shudown UAC first and reboot before running it? Did you right click and select Run As Administrator? Try again. We need this log.

    What about ComboFix and RootRepeal?
