I got to the stage to load "SUPERAntiSpyware" and get a Microsoft popup message that it has encountered a problem and needs to Debug or Send Error Report or Dont Send.
This is a common popup for many programs I have tried to run.

This is on an XP Home Edition with SP3

I notice in the Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel that there is a program called: SpySubtract, that I can't remove. Is this an issue to worry about?

How do I get the Malware tools to load?

Malware tools won't load but have log files #1

Timothy Tibbets of Major Geeks said to check other tools so I ran some with no response. Then i ran MGTools and RootRepeal and have 2 logs needing checked.

can someone check these out and let me know what to do next?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please put a copy of the below file into a ZIP file and attach it to your next message.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ndisrd.sys

SpySubtract is not malware. It is something you or someone else who uses the PC installed at one time. Since it is no longer properly installed, we will remove the remnants.

Please begin by delete the below. This is not where we asked you to save MGtools to.
    C:\Geek Tools do not remove\MGtools.exe

Now you must disable Spybot's Teatimer as requested in the READ & RUN ME. See this: How to disable Spybot's TeaTimer

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: &Helper - {A77D3539-581D-450C-9E44-A84C415A6172} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msxmlm.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PersonalAV] C:\Program Files\PersonalAV\pav.exe
    O18 - Filter hijack: text/html - {6071d94f-db98-4d6e-b00d-dbeadce43ada} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\xwreg32.dll
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: bzkmjygl - C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\Application Data\bzkmjygl.dll
    O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Do not change any check box options!!
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:
    • Now click the Execute button.
    • Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    • Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    • Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.

Now see if you can run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, and ComboFix as requested.

Now delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\Local Settings\Temp

Now run Ccleaner. Only use the Run Cleaner button. Do not run anything else on any other forms.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\avenger.txt
    • the SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, and ComboFix logs if they ran.
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!
