    HI

You have two antivirus applications installed in AVG and Bitdefender, having two AVs will only cause conflicts and anomalious errors and most often than not serious slowness in PC usage and application opening, please uninstall one of them.

You will also need to run Hijackthis again as its installed and run from the exact place we mention not to run it from C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Desktop\TM\analyze.exe

I'm experiencing random popups (which seem to have diminished after running the anti-spyware programs), slowness of system in general and sudden broken applictions (such as google desktop which continues to give error messages despite reinstalling it and reinstalling outlook)

    You have HijackThis installed incorrectly:

You have it here --> C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Desktop\TM\analyze.exe

This is exactly where we specify not to put it. The instructions indicate:

    - not a temp folder
    - not on the Desktop
    - not a sub folder of C:\Documents and Settings

Please install it where recommended so that the backups created by HJT are in a safe location.

    C:\Program Files\HJT\analyse.exe

Using add/remove programs which can be accessed from the control panel, uninstall the following:

Download and install Sun Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9

Your logs still shows you have 2 AV programs installed. Bitdefender and AVG, did you remove one after Halos post, it seems some components are still installed.

Yes, I did uninstall Bit Defender and it does not show in the add/remove programs any longer. I have completed the actions you suggested and uploaded a new log file.

This is still running! I assume you have rebooted since uninstalling bitdefender?

    WHat is this: C:\PROGRAM FILES\SPYLAB\WEBSPY\WEBSPY.exe

I don't see any malware in your HJT log, your google program looks corrupt.

    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: ?G ?? C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~1\GOEC62~1.DLL C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~3\GOEC62~1.DLL

UNinstall ALL google programs and then delete the folder C:\program files\ google and try reinstalling then.
