Malware?

Frustrated in OH · Jul 28, 2010

When I am in IE, it sometimes freezes. I end the session, then restore the session and I get a bunch of random IE windows opening up like The Data Surfer, Blank page, etc.

I have run ccleaner, SUPERAntiSpyware, my verizon anti-virus software and followed the cleaning up your pc thread.

I have attached my mgtools log since I have know idea how to read it. Is there anything on it that should be deleted?

You did not allow MGTools to run to completion. Plus we need the log from running ComboFix.

If MGTools created the C:\MGTools folder, then run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

Then attach the below logs:

* C:\ComboFix.txt
* C:\MGlogs.zip

This time I made sure to run MGTools to completion and ComboFix.

I am not seeing any malware in those logs. What issues are you still having? Are they only with IE? Do you have issues if you use a different browser? What about safe mode?
