I need some help and advice with a scan I have just performed with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (version 2.22.1.1043), which I updated prior to the scan. It detected 800+ objects, which I found very unusual. Going through the list of detections they were all PUPs and all linked to another software programme on my PC: Advanced SystemCare. I do not attach a scan log because I did not produce one. At the end of the scan I did not allow Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to remove the detected objects. This is because I was concerned it might affect the functionality of Advanced SystemCare. Why would Malwarebytes Anti-Malware find all these problems linked to another programme? What should I do?

Malwarebytes and IoBit have a history of not liking each other. :) It's a long story but you can see articles online like the below:

    http://www.computerworld.com/articl...it-accused-of-stealing-from-malwarebytes.html

    https://dottech.org/13126/malwarebytes-vs-iobit-fiasco-comes-to-a-close/

But by saying something is a PUP, it does not mean it is malware. It just means what the letters stand for ( Potentially Unwanted Program ). Sometime scans/tools from programs like Advanced Systemcare get installed when other software is being installed without a persons knowledge or by not reading the popups and notifications/license agreements.

If you don't like this or feeling strongly about it, you can post on their forum but it will probably not change anything.
