Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO high RAM usage

I've been using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO for about three years and it does not cause any problems.

However, it has always used an excessive amount of RAM.
    Currently mbamservice.exe is using 107,000 K.

A couple of times I saw it drop to about half or less than that, but I don't know what could trigger that.
    Since the next largest processes are PFGUI.exe @ 30,220 K (privatefirewall) and explorer.exe @ 27, 560 K
that seems to be quite a lot and I sure would like to knock it down to about 50,000 K.

I'm wondering what other PRO users are seeing in terms of RAM usage and if anyone knows how to reduce that?

I have Windows XP Home SP3 and Malwarebytes 1.65.

    Thanks.

The RAM usage you are seeing (~100 MB +) seems to be pretty much on par with what other users report, even with the latest v1.70.0.1100 build.
I doubt that there is any effective way to reduce this. There are 'snake oil' methods like reducing the process working set size, but these will just result in increased disk i/o and slower performance of the service.
