I have an Intel 915 chip set on my laptop. It's shared memory and 8mb-128mb dynamically allocatable. I just installed Vista and know that my chipset won't run Aero. Currently my system is using 10mb. Does anyone know if I can manually raise that amount to something higher?

There should be a setting in the BIOS to allow you to 'lock in' a given amount of memory... without knowing your motherboard make and model, all I can suggest is to enter the BIOS and poke around until you see something like "Shared Video Memory" or maybe "VGA Memory" or any similarly worded settings.... you should be able to set it at 0 (meaning disabled), 8, 16, 32, 64, or 128mb....
