map drive is not accessible

I have 5 computers running windows xp pro sp/2. They are networked through one switch having same workgroup.
I am using a folder on computer one as mapped drive on the rest computers.
It's wokring for 3 computers but for the fourth computer gives me error. NOt accessible.
though it gives me map drive letter but doesn't allow me to open it.
I googled it. Tried few things but still stuck.
I am using kaspersky internet security.
I made network trusted and allowed all lan traffic.
any suggestion.thkns

 

the user name and password must be same on all systems or the user name for that system must be given rights to that folder

from rest computers map drive is functional. I googled and even though I checked the user rights . It was ok. thnks

 

from the system you can't see the folder can you see the system your looking for? go to network connections. then click on workgroup computers on the left. can you see all the other systems in the workgroup?

 

@ Geminii, are you sure that option exists in XP? I have it in a Windows 7 machine but not in the 2 XP machines I have here.

 

go to network connections. then click on My Network Places, then there should then a choice on the left viewing pane "view workgroup computers" and yes this from winxp system
