Map Project For Addresses

I have a list of addresses I'd like to put on a map.

It seems to me there should be a way to do this that has already been invented by someone. We make hurricane shutters. Quite often prospective customers want to know who else in their area have had us do their job. I have completed customer names and addresses. Is there a way that I can save a map of our county from google maps or mapquest and just put a little dot on the address?

I'd like to get more detailed than that if possible. But that would be a start.

With Google MyMaps you can add a layer and import data.

1. On your computer, sign in to My Maps.
2. Open or create a map.
3. In the map legend, click Add layer.
4. Give the new layer a name.
5. Under the new layer, click Import.
6. Choose or upload the file or photos containing your info, then click Select
7. Map features are added automatically.

Import a file
Make sure your info is one of these file types:

• CSV
• TSV
• KML
• KMZ
• GPX
• XLSX
• Google Sheet
• One or more photos in Google Drive or Google Photos

Unzipped KML and KML files can be up to 5MB.

Other files can be up to 40MB.

If the file isn’t in a photo, the first row should contain titles. To import data properly, make sure you have a column with one of the following:

• Latitude-longitude information
• Addresses
• Place names

Don’t import files with more than 2,000 rows. You can only import up to 100 photos at a time.
