"Map Viewer" by The First American Corporation

Hello MajorGeeks! :wave
I have a question about a browser add-on. For some work I recently got, I have to visit a website. It is only compatible in IE, and to complete certain tasks, I am prompted to install an add-on called Map Viewer published by The First American Corporation. I tried searching for this, and came up with practically nothing. Has anyone ever installed this add-on and know if it poses any performance or security risks? Could I later remove and/or uninstall it if I so choose? I think the add-on is intended to view maps with multi-dimensional layer effects with some interactive effects. I just want to know if it is safe before I install it. Thank you for your advice.

I'm still searching for info about an addon.
About the only site I use IE is on the Microsoft update site.

Here is how to disable addons in IE 7 http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/disableie7addon.htm
and remove in IE 8 http://cnettv.cnet.com/8301-13415_53-10204655-11.html

I've looked at the mapping addons for mapping http://www.ieaddons.com/en/mapping/
and the one you mention is not listed. I searched and it is not listed.
