I bought a new hard drive, but I think they(my old one too) are set as slaves, therefore I cannot reformat the old one.
The main one is called "master" right,so in the pictures, how can I make /change this to be the master?
    Thanx

Move the jumper (plastic piece bridging two pins) to the proper position. There should be a diagram on the hard drive label identifying the location.

In most cases you can simply remove all the jumpers from the drive that you want to set up as master. You can find out how to set the jumper to designate a slave drive by looking for it on the Mfg.s web site or looking on the drive itself. :major
