Max Oc

I have a P4 3.2 dont know if its prescott or w/e but it says that the maximum clock speed is 3.6, is this true?! because i am trying to go for 4.0 just for test purposes. Can i override this in any way? and about what speed would i need to start messing with the voltage?

 

OC is a fun hobby, but must be done carefully. If you have good RAM and an OC friendly MB just step up your FSB one at a time and test like hell. Eventually it will get unstable. At that point you can up your voltage if you have really good cooling or back down to get stability. Your CPU is multiplier locked, but can be OC with a good mb - Asus highly recommended here with Abit, Epox and MSI in second place.
