What is the maximum resolution that an HP computer built in 2008 and running Windows XP has? I want to connect a 25-inch monitor to it. The monitor supports 1080 x 1920 but I don't thing that the XP supports that. The computer is a few hundred miles away and difficult for me to get to, else I would simply connect the monitor to it and find out myself.

i would think the video card would be the defining factor, and maybe system RAM.
basically though, if the video card supports that resolution, then there should be no problem.
    good luck with it.

Agree with harmless but there's also the question of finding an XP driver for the video card.
