Maxdata Laptop Display

    This laptop ran W98 and had WXp prof loaded before I had it. The display sometimes appears only as lines at switchon. Only removing the battery for a while fixes it. The driver is Silicon motion LynxEM. Can this not cope with Xp? In Properties-Driver-Update Driver nothing better is found. Is there any other fault which would cause the breakup? The normal loading pages can be identified through the hash.
