Being the savvy do it yourselfer that i am, I thought i would be clever and repair my pc which was infected with the pihar.c rootkit according to tdsskiller. Tdsskiller did not cure the infection so I decided to use malwarebytes anti rootkit. MBAR found 0access, sireref, and the pihar.c. I told it to fit the problem and it then rebooted.

Somehow it messed up my boot i believe because the OS does not initialize at ALL. I get dell welcome screen, then just a black screen with a single blinking text cursor. I left my flash drive at work, but i think i need to run FRST64 from the command prompt in order to get any help. If someone could assist, i could follow any directions in a very timely manner to get my other pc working again.

Much thanks for any and all assistance.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system

    Attached is fixlist.txt
    • Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.

    Now re-enter System Recovery Options.
Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (How to attach)

Now see if you are able to run any of the R&R. READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    Attach logs once ready. :)
