McAfee and spyware

I have a version of McAfee that can,me with my broadband package,but as I am sure you are all aware,it does allow spyware in,yet all except McAfee anti-spyware is compatible with McAfee.
Is there an free anti spyware that runs all the time,then I could rather just run the free AGV
Any help PLEEZE

does this replace McAfee or can it run together with it,as it does not say.

I've used it with McAFee,,Norton and MSE with no problem at all.

can you tell me about this updater,as I have allowed it in my firewall,it appears its peer to peer and its been on 1% for hours now?nothing happening.
What happens when you update? is it the same?

 

Not sure what's going on,,just installed it and it updating as I type this without any problems,,never mind,database finished updating!!!! You can uninstall and try Window Defender or Spybot Search and Destroy. I would prefer WD. I don't use an antispyware with "realtime" I use Malwarebytes and Superantispyware and scan on my own. If updating doesn't work, uninstall and use WD or SBSand D.
