McAfee Virus Scan 3.1.6

I am trying to uninstall McAfee Virus Scan 3.1.6? This has become a pet project of mine as it is buried within my windows system. Can anyone forward information on how to delete this out of my registry? I have Win ME (Upgraded Win 98 Plus).
The only thing I did was to delete the Network Associates folder and it still shows up, after I sign in with my windows password.

I also looked in the autoexbat.file and it is not in there either???

Can anyone direct me on a website or steps to take?

Welcome To MajorGeeks.. now for the tough love..

NEVER, EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER "uninstall" a program by deleting its' folder unless it NEVER had an installation / setup file that you physically ran to install the program. That's how you end up in situations like this.

You are most likely going to have to go through manually and remove any reference to Network Associates and/or McAfee in the registry. HOWEVER, you can try a registry cleaner and see if it does the job for you, but I'm not making any guarantees here.
