mdms.exe

i had a virus called msmd.exe now i can only startup in safe mode and my computer starts using 100% of its memory after like 10 seconds. i downloaded some things at a friends house and burned them onto a cd, that let me disable some processes and now it takes about 2 minutes before it uses 100% of its memory but i can not boot properly, i can not connect to the internet, and when i looked at my network connections it shows a bunch of weird characters and i can not delete it.

if someone can help me id really appreshiate it.

Can you download some utilities onto a CD and transfer them to the other computer?

and this guy has exactly the same problem as me, only i can not boot in normal mode it goes striaght to safe mode..

Download the below items, burn them to a disc and get them onto the other computer. Get into any mode you can and run Hijack This and get me a HJT log. Be sure you have System Restore disabled!

am i supposed to do anything with hijack this?? or do i just run and save log? and do i scan first with the other programs?


how do i disable system restore?

Go into Control Panel > Click on System and then click on the "System Restore" tab and check the box to disable on all drives.

 

i have no way of getting the log off that computer... when i try to burn a disc it says "please insert a recordable disc into the drive", and the discs ARE recordables!!!

 

when i saved a log though there were a lot of porn sites that i have never visited or even care to.
ex.
www.allforadult.com or something and www.pornix.com or something...

i have never heard of these sites so i think they have something to do with the problem.

 

Save to a floppy if possible, if we cant transfer files back and forth on this computer there isnt much I can do.

 

i have no way of getting the files on to THIS computer, i ran the scans you gave me it found 83 infected items and i delted them. now the computer runs faster now the scans do not find anything. i think the viruses are gone but i can can still only start up in safe mode, and it still wont show connections....

i had a virus called mdms.exe, i ran the scans bjgarrick gave me and it fixed the virus, but i still can not start in normal mode, i can only boot in safe mode.. the computer seems to be running faster. i just dont know what is going on..

i went into display setting and into advanced under the "adapter" tab it did not show one device.

under the "monitor" tab it shows nothing and it does not show my video card, i have integrated graphics, i think, its... "intel extreme".. and it will not show any connections.

First, I told you not to run anything until I requested, I only requested a HJT log from the infected computer. I need this log before we do anything!

If you cant get me logs or anything I cant help you. You should be able to put the log on a floppy.

 

there is no floppy drive.... and sorry, i have nothing else i can do, and if you can't help me what other choice did i have?

If we could transfer files and logs we could do something, I apologize for not being more of assistance than I have, I hate your having to format and reinstall.
