For the past 2-3 mos, the number of spam emails has increased in my Gmail with the Sender noted as "me". If I were to reply to these emails (which I don't), it is my Gmail address that shows up as the Sender I would be replying to. I cannot filter these since I am now blocking any email I might be sending as a BCC to myself. Some days I have received up to 15 of these from "me", all sent within 2-3 minutes of each other. Any suggestions?

    Hi

Are they not going into your Spam folder? as I just looked at my Gmail account and have 7 of those "me" ones, mainly for Banking products etc all in my spam folder and not in inbox, must be latest scam, but Gmail does do a good job of filtering out the spam with its own filters.

I just delete all spam email as and when I notice it in the Gmail Spam Folder and their auto delelte after 30days doesnt work and iirc never has, but then its beta still.

Don't reply to those emails otherwise the spammer knows your email account is real and they might try to hack your account or send more spam mail to you.

If you get any banking ones you should alert the bank where they are supposed to be from and they will investigate it further.

    hope this helps

    Halo,
You are correct, they do go to my "Spam" box. I'm just in the habit of trying to filter those out regularly, but again, you're right, I can just let them sit there and they will be auto-deleted after 30 days. Thanks.

    Sexyandy81,
I received 8 yesterday with a subject line of Beauty.com and "me" as the sender. Since I ordered products from Beauty.com last year, I called their customer svc dept and was told they had been receiving calls about this all week and their IT dept was working on it. My concern is that there are so many different types of subjects/emails being sent like this on a daily basis. But as Halo said, as long as they continue to go to my Spam folder, I should be fine.

Thank you both for your input.
