Media Codec: Please Help

hi im new to this site,

i dont have a problem as such but it really would help if you find a soloution.

i have a video i downloaded for history because i am going to make a presentation using powerpiont. and the video is in divX so i downloaded the codec and it is all working fine. but i cant download anything onto the school computers (for viruses and obveous reasons!!.) so i was wondering if you know how to put the video into a diffetant format for windows media player or quick time.

if you can tell me (thats assuming you can.) i would be very great full. thanks. UKARMYCADET.

ps. the school and my pc is both have windows xp.

Can convert avi to .mov(quicktime).Trialware(Dont use filters you could get watermarks).
You can also try windows media encoder or virtual dub with some microsoft codec for wmp.
