Okay, I have a bunch of computers here at the office that have the exact same problem. So, I figure you guys can give me a hand with this so that the world is a better place. I put in a CD or even a link from online. When the MediaPlayer comes on, no problem. But then the clips shows and it looks horrible!! You can see teh underlying clip and you get the sound. BUT, the picture is all primary colors, blotchy and frankly looks like a 1960's acid trip. What do I have to adjust to get these to show? Will I need admin rights or can I just adjust each and every computer? Thanks.

Visit the Multimedia section here at MajorGeeks, and download and install a codec pack. I recommend "Codec All-In-One" or one of the "KLite" codec packs. If installing codecs doesn't work (it should), try using a different media player. "VLC" is very popular; and, personally, I like "GOMPlayer" and also "MPlayer".... all are free, and available in the MultiMedia section.... good luck!
