Media player VGA won't output images from VGA socket on laptop

    Hi Guys,

    I have a tosh tecra m3 running xp sp1 and am struggling to resolve the issue that any videos, even DVDs will not output images through the VGA socket.

    Images are viewed quite happily on the laptop screen, and the 'frame' of media player is displayed on the VGA socket, but no images. It's just a black hole inside the media player frame.

    I have a feeling it can be resolved with a new CODEC, but i haven't been able to find anything to sort it out.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated
