Help lost sound on media player from desktop to play songs

 

media player does not open

 

nero media player will not open. please respond I don't know how to open threads for answers

 

Hi Judith. As Halo said a little more information would be helpful and you're getting there! We now know that it's Nero you are having problems with so that's a start.

Are you getting any error messages at all?

What version of Nero do you have? Have you tried reinstalling it?

What Operating System are you using? If you are using Windows XP please check your event viewer for errors. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer and click on Application on the left hand side. Look for icons that are errors (yellow exclamation marks) and errors (red X's). If you find an error, right click on it and choose properties to see a description of the error. Sometimes the error message will give us a better idea as to what the cause of the problem is.

 

Hi. Mycomputer is about 2 yrs old.went through all sug. event prop. lists application error records---system application errors when I go to prop. or open them it just lists Event Log (evt) and Log type (unspecified) Can't reinstall as my grand son (thats 1200 miles from me) has built this computer and has anything I might need to reinstall. I can use nero for anything,but opening a muisic icon on my desktop. I can burn the music on my desktop and the sound is fine on cd. But as for preveiwing songs I have to use my window media. Its just very incon. because they are all downloaded to easy open using nero media and now I have to open windows and drag each song to hear. Thanks ever so much if you can further help me. As I can't seem to find my way around the site, even to my profile.

 

Hey again, about that media player. My husband was messing around to listen to songs and said you must click the stop to stop listing to a song you didn"t like, so I know he clicked something he shouldn't have. I went into my c and found the message the media okayer could'n open because either some file were missing or moved and who knows which??? Thanks again
