Sorry about yellin'. I've completed the steps required by Major Attitude, however, my poor old system won't let me boot into safe mode, running Win98. Using Avast! anti virus which found a win32 virus and deleted it. Went on with the procedure, here's what comes up House Call finds nothing, Symantec said I'm virus vunerable, AdAware with the plugin finds critical objects, I quarantine them and give the file a name click next and get the prompt that they will be removed and then the "deleting files" bar shows up but does not disappear, I must hit the X to close the program, but, the files show up in the scan summary. CWshredder finds nothing, Killme2 shows no signs. Ran HJT but it tells me it cannot find "binder.exe". Patiently awaiting your help.

Try using the msconfig method mentioned in the following link to boot into safe mode:

If still having problems, follow the steps below.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
