Can see he is already spoiled...on the lounge, snuggled up and just about to fall asleep.LOL Soooo cute. Boxers are great dogs too.

Hmmmm....I kinda reckon he's gonna outgrow that bed if it's intended to include two adults also.....LOL

Last time I had a dog, I had to upgrade to cater for space.rolleyes

 

They are such fun. If I ever had another dog (My sister breeds Terveurens and Groenendales), it would be a Boxer. They are such softies. Here's an anecdote for you. When our current cat was young, the neighbours at that time had a Boxer and a large bruiser of a tom-cat. The Boxer's name oddly enough was Oscar. The cat's name escapes me. One day our little kitten wanders into their garden. Kitten flees for his life as Oscar comes lolloping towards him. No serious intent, just curiousity. The kitten gets stuck in the fine panels of the neighbour's gate. I'm trying to get in there to rescue kitten. All of a sudden there is Big Tom. Large bundle of fur, sharp claws,, blood running down Oscar's face, dog cowering under bush. You could put it into British vernacular "Oy pal. I don't like the little toe-rag either but he's one of us. Mess with him and you mess with me, right. I will re-arrange your face if necessary" I only wish I had had a vid-cam handy.

Good luck with your Oscar. Treat him well and you have you have a friend and bodyguard for life (at least the life of your dog). My mother is in her eighties, her dog in its teens. The dog is large but fluffy. Children can roll the dog on her back and tickle its tummy. Woe betide any jogger, mugger, drunk etc. that Mum's dog perceives as a threat.

 

My cat thinks dogs are family, because he was raised by a very maternal boxer (looked like an adult version of yours). He'd get too carried away with the teeth and toenails as a kitten, and she'd give him a time out. She'd gently pin him between her front paws and clean him stem to stern. He'd stalk off matted fur everywhere, but much calmer. THAT was funny, and happened a lot. I miss that dog, she was a stray, but she earned her keep.

 

Oh he is beautiful.

I've always wanted a dog, had to put up with boring cats that only eat, sleep and scratch. Where's the fun in that?!?!?!?!

 

Every use a laser pointer. My fat lazy cat would like to play, but there is usally a 65 pound dog bouncing around it. Kinda discourages the cat.

So I have a laser guided attack dog.

 

Every time I think I want a dog, I remember how much i like to sleep in, and how much I hate being confined and tied in anywhere.

Still, that puppy is adorable enough I almost forget... he's beautiful, Laura.
