Memorial Day Weekend

So what is everyone's plans for this weekend?
We are planning on going camping, but just saw weather forecast. Rain, rain and more rain possible. And cold. We camp right on Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota, so with the wind off the lake, we are going to freeze. Taking my winter coat along, and making sure furnace works. Kids are excited to go. I want to just stay home.

What is everyone else doing?

Normal routine, eh?

 

Actually, it's going to be home cleanup time starting tomorrow and through next week. Chair rails to be installed, painting, clean out crawlspace, wash deck, hauling about 10 yards of mulch into gardens, etc.. you get the picture. LOL - I'll be taking tylenol everyday to help with soreness, in particular when hauling the mulch. Hopefully, in between all that we can see "...Sith".

 

Cut the grass. Drink beer while brewing beer (if my kit comes in time). Drink beer. Clean house. Throw some darts. Drink beer. Play a boardgame or 3 while drinking beer.

 

Cut the grass, drink beer, clear some brush, drink some more beer.

 

Go to beach, help work on car, go to beach, work around the condo, go to beach, give star orders, etc.

*sigh* Life is good

 

Working around the house like everybody else seems to be doing.

Friday=Fishing & beer

Sat= Baseball games with son

Sun=BBQ & Beer

Mon= Hangover, Boiled Shrimp and more beer

 

I'm working my butt off (and loving every minute of it, since it's the last bit of work I'm going to see for a few months). Five shows in three days. Monday I'm planning to catch up on the sleep I'm not getting this week. I'm sure mom and I will go to my grandma's grave, since it was just last fall she died.

Weather here is great...up in the high 80s

Probably car hunting with our son, some more home improvements, a little travel to see family, and Memorial Monday is our son-in-law's birthday so a BBQ with the new BBQ they all bought us for our wedding gift :>

 

I'll be going to a Texas Hold 'em poker game Saturday night with a bunch of folks from work. It's a $20 buy in with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We usually try to have a game every 2 weeks, and this week is that week! Other than that, I'll probably only be going up to visit family for Sunday and Monday. It's a 2 hour drive, so not too bad of a trip to see my mom, my bro, and my grandma.

I hope everyone else has a fun and safe weekend (and paid holiday time for Monday )

Likely some yard work Saturday, Indy 500 Sunday, looks like rain Sunday & Monday, in which case Monday will likey be playing Sid Meier's Pirates.

 

Fish! I'm supposed to call star so he can pretend there is an emergency at the Space Center.

Just on TV. I'm allergic to crowds THAT big.

Been to races at Milwaukee and Road America back before it split into the IRL, but I've never had a strong itch to go to Indy.

 

Texas holdum friday.. my hubbies family reunion saturday ( it will be another re-enactment of the hatfield and mccoys) recuperate the rest of the week end.
i'm going to a catfishing tourney next weekend. any tips for catching catfish in a lake?

 

We have 2 catfish in an aquarium which my hubby caught in a local lake. We feed them dried cat food and they totally love it. Honest!! This is not a wind up...take some dried cat food with you

 

Just don't use dogfood, or you may catch a dogfish.
