Memory card hidden file problem!! Need to retrieve it!!

hi im new in this forum! and i was wondering how i can retrieve my files on my memory card!
the problem is like this! my memory card reads 941mb used spaced/29.6mb free space but when i open my memory card its completely empty...

why is this? are my files still there at all and is there anyway to retrieve it??
i already tried control panel folder options show hidden files but it doesn't solve my problem.. i have tons of my favorite music in that memory card and most specially some of my vids and pics of me and my GF together...


there very important to me... so f u can just help on this problem pls do i will appreciate it so much...

hi and welcome to MG's,
I don't know how, but, somehow you have hidden those files, are you using the same computer to read the card that you usually use to read it ??,is the little security tab in the open possition?? have you tried a different card reader?? what OS are you operating?? sorry about all the Q's but it will help with trying to resolve your issue.

Do you have view hidden files enabled?

 

If you have view hidden files enabled and still cannot see the files, try using powerdatarecovery, free for home use. Scan for the files and make sure that you save them to some place other than your memory card or you will lose them forever.

Do not download the bootable media. This is a paid product. I had no trouble downloading. Also, if you continue to have problems, Delete your temp files in firefox.

Did you try downloading the file with internet explorer?

Remember to save the files to your hard drive and not back to the memory card.
