Memory could not be "read"

I am getting an application error that I do not understand why I am getting it.

hpqSTE08.exe - application error
the instruction "0x7c911689"referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

click ok to terminate
Cancel to debug.

I hit cancel to for it to go away. OK does nothing. Then I get the same message but with

"0x7c911129" and "0x03084005

Does anyone know what this error is from?

the hpqSTE08.exe belongs to hp printer and imaging software.if this error is generated at start up try removing it from you startup list.also you could try reinstalling the hp printer software.
