Memory Partition

    If I create a memory partition for an external hdd will I be able to put my music from my computer on it while also being able to save wii u data on it? I'm not sure exactly how a memory partition works.

    I didn't exactly know whee this belongs so if it's in the wrong place sorry.

    You can partition the external drive any way you like and save specific files to specific partitions. Make sure to back up the partitions and even the entire drive periodically (you never know when a disk may fail).

    Your operating system (32-bit/64-bit) and disk format (MBR/GPT) will determine how many partitions you can have on the drive.

    The two 3rd party partitioning software I use are AOMEI Partition Assistant and MiniTool Partition Wizard. Each has it's own capabilities.
