Merry Christmas Eric, to you and your family.

Maybe Santa will bring the Mariners a pitching staff. :)

They do need a bolster in that area, but hey, we got Sexson and Beltre......:) What a hitting lineup. Ichiro, Winn, Sexson, Beltre, Boonie....we got some fire power, and the overall team average should go up, though I don't think Sexson and Beltre will get the HR numbers of previous years, since Safeco is a pitcher's park.

You guys were thinking about Delgago too, for a while there. You wouldn't need pitchers with a line-up like that.

Beltre is a much better fit, since we needed a third basemen, and both Delgado and Sexson play 1st. They had thought if they got Delgado they'd put Sexson in left field, but he's a much better first basemen.

And, I forgot about Raul Ibanez in left. He's a decent avg. hitter, so we have a wall of cannons out there. I've been curious as to what Harden will do as to batting order. I'm excited about this next season, as it can't get much worse than last year. At least we didn't lose 100 games.:eek::(

So, how do you feel about only having one Canadien team now? At least it wasn't your Bluejays that got moved.

    Seen any hockey games lately?

It's tough to get excited about baseball while I'm still getting three or four games a week from the English Premier League and the European Champions League(soccer). I normally get excited by baseball about the end of May. With no Hockey playoffs, it might be earlier this year.

I wish the Bluejays would try a little harder though. Maybe with no Maple Leafs around they might get some crowds in.

They should have put the Expos in Vancouver. Sigh...
