Messages in Outlook XP Not going in inbox until another mailbox is clicked

Hi Everyone. I hope that someone here might have seen an issue similar to the one that I am seeing because I am having difficulty finding anything about it on the web anywhere.

The problem that I am seeing is when a message is sent to a certain user the message doesn't appear in their inbox until they click on another mailbox in their folder list and then back to the inbox. It isn't happening to everyone, but it does happen occasionally to users at seemingly random times. Usually the problem clears itself after a day but I am looking for a way to spare my users this nuisance.

We're using Outlook XP (2002) with Exchange 2003.

Any suggestions?
