Messaging Software Recommendation

Hi All,

I would like to place, preferably a freeware, a messaging software on my network so that my staff and I can communicate on the various network computers. Privacy is important during the paging process but some alert must be present e.g. red light flashes to indicate that a message is present. Thanks.
