Messed COmputer

    My computer is messed! I have a Dell Demension 2400, 2.4ghz processor and 512 ram.

    I used an online scanner because all my security was down, and my norton files were deleted. Here are the viruses

    TROJ_MITGLIED.AK
    EXPL_TXTRANGE.A
    TROJ_DLOADER.BMW
    TROJ_BAGLE.DM
    TROJ_MITGLLIED.AJ
    TROJ_ADLOAD.AE

    Now it says that it deleted everything but my computer still doesn't work! My Hosts files are fine.

    NOTHER QUESTION

    With the dell computers you can restore your computer to factory defaults by bushing ctrl f11 or something. It uses info stored on another partition. The partition was deleted but the restore files are now on my C drive. Is there anyway I can get the files back onto the partition and make ctrl f11 work again?

    Your second question is not appropriate for this forum and you may want to just ask Dell about that. Who delete the partition though and why?

    For your malware issues, please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
