:cry Hi, I am on a vacation at my buddy's house. Kids and unsafe browsing habits have messed up his computer (Windows XP Pro).
I ran a boot time scan with Avast which showed that the computer was infected by WIN32:VIRTOB. After removing the infection,I found to my horror many system file and many crucial services missing and settings gone awry. Now I have a very unstable PC.
I thought of doing a repair install and my then it won't boot from optic drive.Don't know if it is cirrupt BIOS or boot sector Virus.
I ran 'Read and Run Me First' and here are my Logs.
    Kindly help.

And now Avast is causing problems with its Web Shield not allowing web pages to load. The system also has lot of crap like MS Power toys which has no Uninstaller to remove it.
    Here is the MG log.
