    gimpster123 Bring out the Gimp.

I clicked on a link I shouldn't have on Windows live Messenger- it turned out to be some kind of malware- it proceeded to spam all my contacts asking them to click the same link that infected me.

    OS: Vista Business edition

Spybot and AVG turned up nothing- scowering the WEB revealed information about the malware, but no removal instructions.

    Logs attached.

    Hi gimster! :)

Did the cleaning procedures take away the malware symptoms? If not, please go to the Alternate Scans and run some of the regular scans (not the rootkit scans) which can be run on Vista. See if you can turn anything up.

Also, go to add/remove programs and uninstall the below:[/B]

    Java(TM) 6 Update 2
    Java(TM) 6 Update 3

    3) Reboot after uninstalling the above.

    4) Install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Let me know how your computer is doing. If you're not experiencing any further malware symptoms, I'll have you do our final cleanup instructions.
