MG site question

There was a string that I particularly wanted to follow so I subscribed to it. When it got done, I unsubscribed. All was well with my little world. Then I posted a reply to another and found that I was subscribed to it. And then another. And then another. I keep unsubscribing, but everytime that I repond to a thread it subscribes me!! How do I turn this off? I've looked in FAQ and other places on the site for the answer, but I can't find it. Duh..I feel a little dumb, but I also feel as though I'm using more of the site than I need to by letting this continue.

 

If what you want is for all the threads not to be emailed to you then

goto user cp
edit options
Default Thread Subscription Mode
and then down arrow for whatever option you want

 

As you reply in a thread, look down the page to Additional Options > Thread Subscription > Notification Type, set it to "Do not subscribe"
