The Poms think the only Aussie beer is Fosters. Aussies in OZ rarely drink Fosters. Each state has its 'favourite. Carlton United Breweries (CUB) (makers of Fosters) beers are usually number 1 or number 2 in most states. Bazza

Well, I've visted Austrailia twice, while I was in the Navy. I was told to NEVER order fosters there, or risk being sneered at or worse.

So, we ordered something called 4X, can't quite remember. Also, the pool tables were rather odd there too.

 

Yeah, I've 'prolly been one of those "lurkers".

...Not a big beer drinker, but like Bazza said, Fosters isn't all that popular nowadays, it's Emu and Swan in the west. I prefer Scotch - takes up less room for alcohol.
