Mg tool

    when i try to download this or try to edit the registry on the computer im working on for a friend it says Registy editing has been disabled by admin. how do i change that and the only access i have to anything is through the task manager. Is there a command I can "run" to enable this

    Is this what you meant to say? Inability to edit the registry would not have anything to do with downloading MGtools. Did you really mean to say that when you run MGtools you see error message related to the registy? Are you sure that none of MGtools ran? Did you check for the MGlogs.zip file?

    You should not be running MGtools before you have run the other steps in the cleaning procedure. Have you run all the instructions? If so you need to attach logs. If not, why not?

    when i try to download it to desktop it gives me the registry is not allowed to be edited or is disabled by admin. i tried the SUPER and it will get to 5200 files scanned by registry and closes it self at that time it shows like 20 or 30 infections i stopped its running at 5000 and took out those infections. i tried malwarebytes and it will not even run im doing an hp restore couldnt find anything else to do. i did the steps like it showed.

    Did you read the instructions which stated in very bold red the below
    Had you also tried ComboFix and RootRepeal?

    Did you also attempt to run all scans in safe boot mode?

    If you are already doing a restore than I assume you don't need help in the Malware Forum anymore.
