MG Windows Messenger 5.1.0639 download

    My Dell came factory installed with Windows Messenger 4.7.3001. I later installed MSN Messenger 6.2. My question is if I download the Windows Messenger 5.1.0639, will it replace version 4.7.3001 or will I have two Windows Messenger applications installed? I plan to retain MSN Messenger 6.2 as well.

    If a download is available for your operating system, then it will just "update" your version to the later one.

    You will only have one Windows Messenger.

    If you plan to retain 6.2 then no real need to install/update to 5.1, stick with 6.2 and wait for MSN7 to reach final and get that one.

    I think he is talking about updating Windows Messenger and not MSN Messenger.

    Thanks...I did successfully update to the latest Windows Messenger version, and will also update to MSN Messenger 7 when it becomes available.
