Mgtools problem BSOD

    Hi

    I followed the Windows XP cleaning guide on this forum and my final step was to run mgtools.exe, after it failed to run i clicked on the first .bat file in the folder. This shut explorer down and now i have the BSOD and can't proceed further.

    The error message is:

    -----------

    STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
    The windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0Xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
    The system has been shut down.

    ----------------


    Would appreciate any assistance to rectify the problem. Currently unsure how to resolve - please help

    WHY???? You are not supposed to be running anything except what we ask you to run. Part of the very first instructions in the READ & RUN ME stated the below:
    By doing things on your own and running a program that was not supposed to be run on your PC unless you had a specific infection, you broke your PC. The BamFix.bat file you ran must only be run when we request as it requires other steps to be performed first. As with many many specialty tools, you MUST follow instructions exactly to avoid problems.

    You now need to boot your Windows XP CD into the Recovery Console and rename the below files back to their correct names which would be without the additional .bad file extension added.

    C:\windows\system32\winlogon.exe.bad
    C:\windows\explorer.exe.bad
