Mgtools problem

Hello,

I was trying to get rid of some malaware following your step by step guide. When running MGtools after command windows displayed something like: "zipping TDSSkiller logs" my laptop froze. I tried everything and in the end i decided to turn off the laptop. Now I can reboot my pc only in normal mode. What can I do?

Sorry,
i made a mistake. I can boot only in SAFE mode. Normal mode is frozen.

Welcome to Major Geeks!

You need to finish the procedure in safe boot mode and attach all the requested logs. Since MGtools is the last scan, everything else should already have been run and you should have the logs.

The shutdown of your PC due to it locking up, may have corrupted your registry. The steps that were going on with MGtools at that point are pretty benign and should not cause problems, but powering down your PC by holding down the power button always has the potential to break things.

How far to you get when booting in normal mode?

Thank you for the answer, but, since I use my laptop for work, I already brought it to a technician and everything is fine now.
