Wait, I am confused... A service (Yahoo) that started primarily as a search engine is now using someone else's search?

 

I hope it works out Google needs a competitor,it has too much of a market share and too much power.

 

Why not? They have the experience, but are lacking in resources. Microsoft certainly has that, but have no idea how to work a search engine. It's a good solution for them both.

As I said, one of them lacks resources and the other doesn't know what they're doing.

I've tried Yahoo & Bing but I just don't like their search engine, nothing compares to Google. I love it and it's the only thing I will use. I've accidentally (completely because of me not paying attention) Googled Google* :-D

Its all well and good as long as Google doesn't become a profit driven corp,some would argue they already have.

The reason I don't like them is because basically Google decides whether something is worth looking at,if Google doesn't like you your nobody,there's too much power in one place,if anyone ever abuses Google they could have the power to change the world as its become the hub of the world,whatever Google branches out into will do well simply because their version is at the top of your searches.
