Alright, so first off, i have 2 things i need help with for my computer..

the first problem is that there is a constant buzzing sound coming out of my speakers, or my headset all the time. It only makes this sound when im doing anything but playing games, or listening to music, etc. Something that gives off any sort of sound. If im just sitting idle, it buzzes and kinda sounds like the computer is working. This has been happening ever since i got my computer, im not sure what it is, and i was wondering if anyone had the same problem or a solution for it.

The second problem is my microphone. Ive had it for about a year now and its worked fine. I can almost guarantee that its not broken because it was working perfectly yesterday, and nothings happened to it since then. Anyways, this morning my friends told me that i was giving off a loud humming sound when i was trying to talk to them on ventrilo. When i unmuted the mic i heard the sound, and it seems to be stronger when im closer to my monitor, but no matter where i am i can hear the hum, faint or strong.

Can anyone help me with these problems?

    thanks.

There's the problem. Had the same thing happen at work before we upgraded to lcd's. I don't know why they do it. Just kinda move the stuff away from it.

No usually speakers cause it. If your cell phones ringing and yo put it in front of the crt it makes a really crazy buzzing noise.

no that doesn't seem to be working. I even unplugged the monitor and everything around it, the hum is still there its just alot worse when the monitor is plugged in.

What type of speakers are they?

They're CA desktop speakers. Just the basic ones, nothing fancy. I fiddled around with my mic though, and apparently that's the problem. I opened it up and just moved the wire a little and it worked for a bit, then the humming came back. I don't really understand why it happens, but i'm able to temporarily fix it. I'll probly have to get a new mic
