    Good day everyone,

I've been researching how to disable ODBC connections in MS Access 2K3. We have a few clients that need to open .mdb files, but we're worried that they could use Access to modify our Oracle Database. Does anyone know of a way of disabling ODBS connections? Is there an option on the install, or anything of the sort?

    Thanks for your help! :)

A few comments. I'm almost 100% certain that you cannot disalbe ODBC in Access. However, to create an ODBC connection you must have ellivated prigilages. If you can have your users run in restricted mode then you shouldn't have to worry about this at all.

Second comment, if they want to connect to the Oracle database they still need to authenticate to that box. If there is security on it and these users don't have you, you are again reducing the risk level.
