    From what I hear...it isn't as great as Photoshop....more like freehand or fireworks...

    @Kadavill.... yes had a small play around with it early yesterday, its a good start but still very buggy, especially with large changes/adjustments to various filter options.. just crashes out now and again.

    It does open .psd's but doesnt seem to like PS layered files, you just get one layer so no multilayer adjustments ( unless you start from scratch in Acrylic and built up layers ).

    It is quick and depending on how MS price this it could be a winner :)

    as a summary.. in its present form it will NOT replace Photoshop or PSP, but it does give users the option of having the same tools available to you in a much cheaper form ( free at present ). I personally wont be using it as i'm used to PS ... but I will be keeping an eye on this app, if it opens and splits .psd layered pics up in the future it will be a viable option for many users who dont want to pay $£$£$£$ for PS.


    edit: REMEMBER folks this is an early BETA and is subject to bugs etc so it upto you if you install it.
