Microsoft Antispyware CPU Hog?

Hi back again

I have previously been cleaning a friends pc and came across Microsoft Antispyware and have installed it in my own pc

It detected a hidden dailer and a trojan which I have since removed.
I installed the real time monitor thingy and now I have lag big time.

I have google the exe in the task manager that is hogging all of the cpu resources and it is "gcasDtServ.exe"
Google tells me that this is part of Microsoft Antispyware

What I would like to know is?
Should it be utilising all of my cpu? 98% roughly most of the time when I am trying to open pages.
Should it be running?

I know it is doing checks as I told it to but I can't do much of anything else.

Is it a good Spyware to be running of should I remove it? or is it just a resource hog?
can someone please advise?

Please be patient as we are VERY busy here in the Spyware Forum. Yes, MSAS is good but remember its still in beta testing and does have a few minor bugs. As far as using those resources, on my computer it doesnt run that high. For protection I would recommend SpyWare Blaster and/or SpyWare Guard.

sorry I didn't mean to be pushy, I just thought maybe it had been over looked as it was 3 pages back.

I will keep with it for a little while to see how it runs.
