Using EDGE - After reading one email - I get a message "no internet connection".
Do not have this issue with Firefox or Chrome.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

Hmmm, strange. I've had that happen but it wasn't just a lone browser it was the connection to my computer. I'm baffled on this. I hope someone can step in and explain it. Have you tried resetting Edge to it's default settings ?

Does your internet icon in the tray show as not connected?

    Internet still shows as connected.
I have even tried having Chrome & Edge open at the same time. Edge will drop internet while Chrome is still connected.

    Try resetting your modem.

Push the reset button on the back.It will take a couple of minutes to reboot.

Unless he has every thing blocked most likely the edge browser is using a lot of data.Like cortana and other apps that require data mining. Most of this stuff is connected through edge web browser.Just like internet explorer was.

I was talking about the lag issue and internet drops.

If your system is connected continuously it will collect data every second. So it needs to be cleared out every so offten.

This is just after 6 hours of use.If the buffer get's too full it will cause problems with web browsers. You need to clear the cache on both systems like laptop and desktop plus your wireless and modem. That is why i suggested it.

That has absolutely nothing to do with Data Mining! And it certainly has nothing to do with a "dropped internet connection". I have had my browser open with 5 tabs for 2 weeks and I certainly will not reset my modem.
The issue is not internet drops .... as the OP said, he is still connected when he gets that message in Edge. He does not have the message or the actual disconnect with other browsers.

    Your image shows 6 days.
That 'Activity' is Local traffic Within The LAN.
Have a look at mine after less than 6 minutes - the data connection is not enabled. And the 'Speed'... that's a Windows joke.

Not correct Eldon, it is recording ALL activity between the wireless adapter and the router/modem, both local and WAN. And the speeds shown are normal for the adapters shown, both yours and his.

    You're correct.
I meant to say "That 'Activity' includes Local traffic Within The LAN."
I do not believe my phone's modem is capable of 425.9 Mbps.
